About Anchor Remodeling
I spent years in building materials and construction supply before starting Anchor Remodeling. I watched homeowners get caught between contractors who cut corners and salespeople who oversold. They deserved better. They deserved someone who actually understood how roofs fail, how siding systems work, and why windows matter more than a brochure can explain.
When I founded Anchor Remodeling in Burke, it wasn't to build the biggest company in Northern Virginia. It was to build the one homeowners could trust. The one where transparency wasn't a marketing angle but the actual way we talk to people. Where a roofing estimate includes real details, not just a number. Where communication continues after the job closes.
Early projects taught me that homeowners remember how you made them feel more than they remember the final invoice. They remember if you showed up on time. If you explained problems clearly. If you actually answered their questions instead of rushing to the next appointment. We built Anchor around that principle because it's not complicated—it's just what good work looks like.
'Most contractors focus on selling a project. At Anchor Remodeling, we focus on helping homeowners understand their home and make the right decision.'
— Kris Wisda, Founder
We're veteran-owned because I understand the value of integrity under pressure. You don't survive in the field without it. That shapes how we handle every estimate, every installation, every follow-up call. When a homeowner asks if we can cut corners on something invisible, the answer is no—not because of a rule, but because we've seen what happens when corners get cut. Shortcuts become expensive repairs five years later.
Being family-operated means our reputation is personal. This isn't a franchise. Every roof we install, every window we replace, every siding job reflects directly on us. Our families live in Burke and throughout Northern Virginia. We see our customers at the grocery store. That accountability changes everything about how you approach work.
Our CertainTeed Shingle Master Pro and Virginia Class A certifications aren't plaques on a wall. They're proof that we meet industry standards and continue to learn. Codes change. Materials evolve. We stay current because homes depend on it. When a homeowner hires us, they're hiring people who've invested in staying better than minimum standard.
Locally-owned means we bet on Northern Virginia every day. We know the climate here, the soil, the seasonal challenges. We're not a national crew parachuting in—we're neighbors who understand what homes face in this region and how to build systems that last through it.
Working with Anchor means having someone in your corner who genuinely wants you to make the right decision. We'll come look at your roof, siding, or windows with you. We'll show you what we see. We'll explain the options without pushing you toward the most expensive one. Some homeowners need a full replacement. Some need targeted repairs. Honest conversations lead there.
You'll notice the little things: crews arrive on schedule. Work areas stay clean. We communicate before something becomes a problem, not after. Questions get answered directly. If we don't know something, we find the answer and call you back—we don't guess.
When the work finishes, the relationship continues. You have our number. You know who to call if something comes up. That's how we build homes, one homeowner at a time. If you'd like to talk about your home, give us a call or reach out. We'd like to help you understand what's really happening out there.
